“Choice & Change”

01/18/2010

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Today the nation celebrates the life and legacy of the Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr.  as  the world continues to mobilize in prayer and deed to support the people of Haiti. Reflecting upon his words and vision as well as the actions of so many souls in response to the tremendous need in Haiti, I am inspired about the potential for change in this world.

The potential for choice and change exists because of the sacrifices of others before us. I pray that we all appreciate this glorious opportunity that we have to choose what we think, say, feel and do.

If prayer followed by wise choices and action yields positive change, then let us pray:

Dear God, I am open to Divine Wisdom and Understanding.  I realize that the choice to forgive, to give, to live, to love, to appreciate, to help, to heal, to support, to let go, to move on, to hope, to have great expectations, to take action, to believe and to receive… serves as a catalyst for change in my life. I am eternally led and guided by your Wisdom to be a vessel for change, and to make wise choices for the greater good of myself and for others. And so it is. Amen.

May you rest assured that your path is sealed in His Love.

Love,
Shawna Marie
